# Dashboards

> Understand dashboards as a cross-area view of status, performance, pauses, quality and OEE.

**Dashboards** show shop floor status and performance from recorded operations, assignments, pauses, production and times. You view them as a cross-area capability in Smart Factory.

They do not replace execution. They interpret what your team records during work.

## What they can show

| View | What it provides |
| - | - |
| Station status | Which resources are active, stopped or without work. |
| Operations in progress | What is running now and its progress. |
| Progress | Completed, rejected or pending quantities. |
| Pauses | Reasons, duration and recurrence of stoppages. |
| Quality | Rejects, checks and relevant deviations. |
| OEE | Availability, performance and quality when data is sufficient. |
| Employee effectiveness | Occupancy, idle time, hours outside working hours and a person's efficiency against theoretical time. |

## Data feeding indicators

| Data | Source |
| - | - |
| Actual duration | Operation start, pause, resume and completion. |
| Labor | Assigned employees or work records. |
| Production | Completed and rejected quantity. |
| Consumption | Material used per operation. |
| Pauses | Interruption reason and time. |
| Checks | Quality or process results. |

Duration measures calendar time. Labor measures people's time spent working. If two people work for 30 minutes, duration is 30 minutes and labor is 60 minutes.

## Data quality

An empty or inconsistent dashboard usually indicates missing execution records, open pauses, incomplete times, operations without a station or incorrectly closed quantities.

Review operational data first before interpreting the indicator as a performance problem.
