# Link Telegram to your account

> Connect your Telegram identity to your Bold user to chat with Boldy.

Link your Telegram account to chat with Boldy through your company's bot. The link is personal and associates your Bold user with a single Telegram identity.

## Before you start

* Telegram must be available for your company. If **My account** indicates it is unavailable, contact your company administrator or Bold.
* Start the process with your own Bold user and open the link with the Telegram account you want to link.
* To send tasks to Boldy, you need permission to start tasks. To attach files, you also need permission to upload files.

## Link the account

**Path:** **Control panel > My account**

    In the **Telegram** section, check your company's bot name and click **Link Telegram**.

    Click **Open Telegram**. A private conversation with the bot opens through a link that includes the linking code.

  <Step title="Confirm with the bot">
    If Telegram shows a **Start** button, click it to send the command to the bot. The bot confirms that the account is linked.

  <Step title="Check the status in Bold">
    Return to **My account**. The section shows **Linked as** followed by your Telegram alias or verified identity.

  The link displays its expiration date and time. If it expires before you complete the process, return to **My account** and click **Link Telegram** again to generate another one.

## Chat with Boldy

After linking the account, click **Open conversation** or open the bot directly in Telegram. Send a message to start a private task with Boldy.

The conversation remains in Telegram. You can view the task, its activity and its result in **Smart Factory > Tasks**, but you must reply from the Telegram chat where you started it.

Boldy accepts supported text, images, documents and audio. Files can be up to 20 MB.

## Unlink Telegram

In **Control panel > My account**, click **Unlink** and confirm the action. You will no longer be able to chat with Boldy from that Telegram identity, but you can link it again later.

Unlinking affects only your identity. It does not disconnect or change the bot configured for the company.

## Common problems

| Problem | What to do |
| - | - |
| Telegram is unavailable for your company | Ask the administrator to confirm the channel's availability or contact Bold. |
| The link has expired | Return to **My account** and click **Link Telegram** to generate another one. |
| The bot says the code is invalid | Start linking again. Do not reuse a previous link. |
| The Telegram identity is already linked | Unlink it from the previous Bold user before attempting to associate it with another. |
| The bot says you have lost access | Check that your user is still active and has permission to start tasks. |
| You cannot attach files | Review upload permission and check that the file is supported and no larger than 20 MB. |
