# Analyze stops and production losses

> Find recurring stops, speed losses, and quality problems in manufacturing.

Analyze stops and losses to understand why a line, workstation, or operation produces less than expected. This workflow uses shop floor records: time, pauses, quantities, rejects, and inspections.

## Review losses

**Path:** **Smart Factory > Dashboards > OEE by workstation**

    Select the workstation and date interval.

  <Step title="Review availability">
    Check how long the resource was stopped, unassigned, or outside production.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review performance">
    Compare actual speed with the expected rate to identify cycle losses.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review quality">
    Analyze rejects, failed inspections, or nonconforming production.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sort stop reasons">
    Identify recurring interruptions and separate planned causes from incidents.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Define an action">
    Finish the review with a concrete decision: maintenance, process change, training, recipe adjustment, or material improvement.

## Useful questions

| Question | Data to review |

| Where is the most time lost? | Pauses by resource, shift, process, or order. |
| Is the loss recurring? | Frequency of the same stop reason. |
| Is the operation slower? | Completed quantity compared with actual time. |
| Is there a quality problem? | Rejects, inspections, and comments. |
| Does it depend on materials? | Consumption, lots, and stock shortages. |
