# Monitor production in real time

> View employee activity, active workstations, and production records from dashboards.

Use dashboards to see who is working, where each operation runs, and which quantities the team has recorded. These views depend on assignments and records created from [work mode](/en/concepts/work-mode).

**Path:** **Smart Factory > Dashboards**

## View employee activity

Open **Employee activity** to distinguish who has an active operation and who does not.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Filter by status">
    Click **No operation** or **Active** in the legend. Click the same status again to show all employees.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Identify the operation">
    Each active employee shows the MO code and names of the operations they are executing.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open details">
    Click the employee to view their details or an operation to review its execution.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Info>
  If an employee is working but appears as **No operation**, check that they started or resumed the correct operation in work mode.
</Info>

## View active workstations

Open **Workstation status** to see workstations with activity in progress. The view groups active assignments by workstation and operation.

For each operation, you can review:

* MO code and operation name.
* Completed quantity compared with planned quantity.
* Item and order requester.
* Assigned employees and time elapsed since they started.

Click the operation to open its details. If the page shows **There is no activity in progress right now**, there are no active assignments associated with a workstation.

## Review production records

Open **Production progress** to view quantities the team recorded during operations.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Narrow the period">
    Select **Start date** and **End date**. By default, the view shows the current day.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Filter the context">
    Limit results by area, workstation, or employee. You can also filter and sort table columns.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review each record">
    Compare **Completed** and **Rejected**. Also check date, employee, MO, operation, requester, item, workstation, and comments.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the source">
    Use table links to open employee, MO, operation, item, or workstation details.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## What to review for a discrepancy

| Signal | Check |
| - | - |
| An employee appears without an operation | Confirm they started the operation and did not pause or finish it by mistake. |
| A workstation does not appear | Check for an active assignment linked to that workstation. |
| There are rejected quantities | Open the operation and review inspections, comments, and materials used. |
| An expected record is missing | Check the period, filters, and employee who recorded production. |
