# Sequence manually

> Prioritize orders and operations by adjusting their target dates directly.

**Path:** **Production > Sequencing**

Sequence manually when you need to adjust a few orders or operations without creating a production plan. Changes to target dates directly affect pending shop floor work.

## Choose the level of work

The **Production sequencing** screen offers three tabs:

| Tab | When to use it |
| - | - |
| **Orders** | To prioritize complete MOs according to their required or target dates. |
| **Operations** | To adjust specific tasks and group operations that will run together at a workstation. |
| **Plans** | To calculate and review a complete scenario before applying it. |

## Orders

Use **Orders** to review all open MOs. Sort by required or target date and change each order's target date when you need to change its priority.

### Sort the list

* **Required date:** sorts by the date when the MO must be completed.

* **Target date:** sorts by the internal date planned to execute shop floor work.

### Adjust the target date

The list shows each MO's calculated priority. Change its **target date** to bring it forward or delay it. Bold shows an alert if the new date is after the required date.

## Operations

Use **Operations** for physical tasks such as cutting, milling, or painting. Select an area or workstation and filter by tool if needed.

* Adjust an operation's target date when its priority should differ from the rest of the MO.
* Group operations when they should run together at the same workstation.
* Filter by tool to prepare consecutive operations sharing a mold, fixture, or setup.

## Plans

Use **Plans** to calculate a complete sequence, review restrictions, and adjust the result in a diagram before applying it.
