# View OEE evolution

> Compare OEE, availability, performance, and quality by month or year.

Use **OEE evolution** to see whether shop floor performance improves or worsens over time. This view supports periodic monitoring rather than resolving an individual incident.

## Review evolution

**Path:** **Smart Factory > Dashboards > OEE evolution**

### 1. Choose the period and workstation

Select a workstation and compare months or years according to the horizon you want to analyze.

### 2. Compare components

Review changes in availability, performance, quality, and overall OEE.

| Observed trend | What to review | Possible action |
| - | - | - |
| Gradual performance decline | Workstation wear or changes in its parameters. | Review maintenance and machine configuration. |
| Unstable availability | Pause reasons, breakdowns, and missing materials. | Analyze recurring pauses and provisioning. |
| Consistently low quality | Process definition, raw materials, and inspections. | Review the recipe and strengthen necessary checks. |
| Sustained performance above `100 %` or below `50 %` | Recipe theoretical times. | Validate and update standard times if outdated. |

### 3. Compare the trend with actual changes

Relate increases or decreases to changes in shifts, resources, recipes, maintenance, or processes.

* **Investments and repairs:** compare the period before and after adding a tool or performing a major repair.
* **Training and standardization:** check whether changes in instructions, inspections, or training coincide with changes in quality.
