# Manage people

> Manage employees, work days, calendars and shifts to coordinate capacity and work monitoring.

The People module brings together employees and their schedules for manufacturing, maintenance and productivity analysis.

## Scheduling priority

An employee's effective schedule is resolved in this order:

1. Explicit assignment for a particular date.
2. Local calendar exception.
3. Repeating shift pattern.
