# Cancel an order

> Cancel a sales order and review how it affects demand and related documents.

You can cancel a whole order or just one of its lines.

## Cancel the whole order

**Path:** **Planning > Sales orders > Order you want to cancel**

The action at the bottom of the details depends on its status: **Delete** for a draft, or **Cancel** for a confirmed order that still allows cancellation.

Deleting a draft removes the order. Cancelling a confirmed order cancels its pending lines and applies the configured policy to associated manufacturing requests.

## Cancel an order line

**Path:** **Planning > Sales orders > Order > Line you want to cancel**

Click **Cancel** at the bottom right.

If the order has other active lines, it remains in the **Sales orders** table with the corresponding status.

## Undo a cancellation

To restore a line, open it and click **Undo cancellation**. The line returns to draft status so you can edit it and confirm it again. If you cancelled several lines, restore them one by one.

## Cancellation limits

If delivery of a line has already started, editing and deletion are limited to preserve traceability. You can cancel the remaining units.

## Consequences of cancellation

Configure how Bold should act when you cancel an order that has already generated manufacturing work.

**Path:** **Control panel > Settings**

In the **Production requests** section, you can choose how to manage them:

* **Always block the linked orders:** the system hides those orders from the work view so someone can review them, whether manufacturing has already started or is still queued.
* **Always cancel the linked orders:** the system cancels associated manufacturing orders, even if work has already started. Use this option when you want to stop them permanently.
* **Cancel if not started; block if already started:** applies either action depending on the manufacturing status.
