# Register warehouse equipment

> Register equipment used to execute material movements.

**Warehouse equipment** refers to the resources employees select to execute movements, such as forklifts, pallet trucks, or carts.

**Path:** **Warehouse > Warehouse equipment**

## Create equipment

<Steps>
  <Step title="Create the equipment">
    Click **Create warehouse equipment**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Identify it">
    Enter a **Name** that identifies the equipment on the shop floor.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select the type">
    Choose **Machine** for powered equipment or **Manual** for equipment without propulsion.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save the equipment">
    Click **Create**.
  </Step>

Each piece of equipment has an internal stock location. This location represents the load it carries while the movement is in progress.
