Checks
A check is a mandatory inspection associated with an operation. You must complete it at the configured moment.
Start checks block starting while pending. An operation cannot finish if any check remains pending.
Consumption
Consumption deducts material from the warehouse. You can record it at the start, per unit or at the end of the operation.
An input’s quantity is defined per manufactured unit. If an operation produces
10 units and an input consumes 2 units for each one, total expected consumption is 20.
Use consumption by progress when you need to measure materials precisely during the operation. Use consumption at the end if the actual quantity is known at closing.
Theoretical and manual quantities
When recording progress in work mode, each material and co-product shows its theoretical quantity, calculated according to its configuration and applicable progress, alongside the quantity to record and the difference between them. Lines configured by progress use units from that record; lines configured at the end use the operation’s accumulated total.- While you do not change a line, it follows the theoretical quantity and recalculates with applicable progress when completed or rejected units change.
- If you enter a quantity or assign lots, the line becomes manual and retains your value even when units change.
- If the theoretical quantity changes after you edit a manual line, the difference from the new theoretical value appears on the line and you can return to the theoretical value. On confirmation, Bold warns you about edited lines whose theoretical quantity changed but does not block recording.
Lots
If the item uses lots, you choose them in the material line itself:- With no assigned lots, the warehouse assigns lots by FIFO (first in, first out) at the workstation’s input location. If there is not enough stock there, it uses lots from other locations.
- When you assign lots, the line quantity is the sum of its lots. Lot quantities use the same unit as the line.
- Distribute FIFO distributes the theoretical quantity among lots with stock at the station’s input location. If there is not enough, the line shows the difference from the theoretical quantity. You can then adjust each lot’s quantity.
- Lot details are collapsed by default, and the line indicates FIFO. Expanding shows lots with stock, starting with those at the station’s input location. Each lot is identified by its source code or, if none, its internal code. To choose a lot, enter the quantity you consume from it or scan its code.
- If you leave all lots at zero, the line returns to the theoretical quantity and automatic allocation.
Production and co-products
Recording production increases stock of the manufactured item. Co-products record additional outputs generated during the operation. Co-products can also have a recording moment and lot if they need traceability. If a co-product is configured Per unit, Bold multiplies its quantity by the operation quantity and applies the specified frequency. For example,0,5 units per manufactured unit generate 5 units in an operation of 10. At other recording moments, the configured quantity applies once.
Do not record production to compensate for incorrectly recorded consumption. First correct the consumption source, location or lot.
