Before you start
Check that:- the MO exists and is neither cancelled nor blocked;
- the operation has a process and a compatible resource;
- the employee appears in work mode;
- the components exist if you will record consumption;
- the consumption or production location is clear if you work with stock;
- you can complete any required inspections.
Execute the operation
1
Open work mode
Access it from the tablet, terminal, or computer used on the shop floor.
2
Select the employee
Identify who will record the activity. Time and actions will be associated with that person.
3
Find the operation
Locate the operation by MO, item, workstation, process, or work list.
4
Review the details
Check the item, planned quantity, workstation, components, and steps before starting.
5
Start the operation
Start work when the operation is ready and has no pending blocks.
6
Record progress
Enter the completed quantity, rejects, comments, or evidence if the workflow requires them.
7
Consume materials
Record the components used, location, and lot where applicable. Use actual quantities when they differ from those planned.
8
Finish
Close the operation when no work remains. If it was the only operation, check that the MO is finished.
What is traced
When you close the operation, check that the finished item appears as produced and the MO shows the expected status.
If something is blocked
Complete the cycle with a shipment
Dispatch is optional in getting started. Do it if you want to check that produced stock can be shipped against the order.Prepare and record a shipment
Prepare the goods and record the order dispatch when you want to validate logistics.
