Before you start
- Create the asset and causes you will use.
- Define reusable actions if you want the technician to follow standardized checks or tasks.
- To work in work mode, select an active employee.
- Check that the technician has access to maintenance and the items they can record as consumed materials.
Create the work order from management mode
Path: Maintenance > Work orders > Add new1
Create the work order
Select the work order type, asset, and main cause. You can also enter the owner, code, and notes they should read.

Add planned work
Add the actions the technician must complete. You can add a predefined action, write its instructions for this intervention, and mark it as required.

Record execution
Add consumed materials and time for the employees involved.

Review and complete
Check causes, actions, time, and materials before closing the work order.
- Information: shows basic work order data and lets you add additional causes. For example, for an electrical failure on a forklift, you can record the electrical fault as the main cause and a broken plug as an additional cause.
- Consumed materials: lets you add items and quantities of spare parts or consumables.
- Actions: gathers the tasks needed for maintenance. It shows status, whether the action is required, type, owner, theoretical time, dates, result, instructions, and execution notes. The Req. column indicates whether it is required (Yes/No); to change it, use the padlock button in the Actions column.
- Time entries: records time spent on maintenance.
- Comments: lets you add and delete formatted comments with attachments.
- Costs: shows spare part and labor costs.
Work from work mode
Path: Work mode > Maintenance Work mode organizes work orders into My work orders, All work orders, and New work order. My work orders shows work orders whose main owner is the active employee. In All work orders, you can find other work and assign yourself to it.Create a work order on the shop floor

Select New work order
Open the New work order tab.

Describe the intervention
Select the work order type, asset, and cause. Code and notes are optional.

Create the work order
Click Create. The active employee becomes the main owner and the work order opens in My work orders.
Execute the work

Open the work order
Find it in My work orders or All work orders. You can hide work orders that have not started or are finished, and search by code, asset, or cause.

Start recording time
Click Start, Resume, or Assign me, depending on the work order status. Bold opens a time record for the active employee.

Read instructions
Open Information to read the work order notes.

Record actions
In Actions, read the instructions and complete planned tasks or add an action. Depending on its type, record a confirmation, a yes/no result, a number, text, a selection, an image, a file, or a signature drawn on screen. You can add optional execution notes. Actions marked Required must be completed before finishing the work order. If you make a mistake, click Undo on the completed action and complete it again.

Record materials
In Materials, select the consumed item, enter the quantity, and click Add material.

Stop time when you interrupt work
Click Stop to close your time record. You can resume the work order later.

Leave comments
In Comments, add observations about the intervention. They are recorded with the date and active employee.

Finish the work order
When the intervention is complete, click Finish and confirm closing. If required actions remain incomplete, Bold identifies them and takes you to Actions.
Recommendations
- Use stable causes to analyze recurrence.
- Add actions before starting if you want the technician to follow a checklist.
- Use Stop when interrupting work so recorded time reflects the actual intervention.
- Review materials and results before finishing.
