Pause reasons explain why an operation or group of operations stops. They can be planned, such as a break or shift change, or unplanned, such as a breakdown, missing materials, or a quality issue. Recording the reason lets you analyze losses and recurring stops.

Steps to follow

Path: Production > Pause reasons > Add new reason Name: enter a short title that is easy to recognize on the pause screen. For example: Lunch, Scheduled maintenance, Shift meeting, or Line cleaning. Description (optional): explain when to use the reason so the whole workshop follows the same criteria. For example: 30-minute break for the morning shift. Use only between 13:00 and 14:00. Planned: enable this checkbox when the pause is scheduled. Bold treats it as an organizational stop, so it does not penalize efficiency indicators (OEE) or count as a technical failure. Leave it unchecked for unexpected events such as Electrical fault, Raw material shortage, or Machine jam.
