Employees represent the people whose work is planned or recorded in Bold. They are used to record time, planning, productivity and costs. An employee is different from a user. The employee represents the person in operations; the user is the account they use to access Bold. Path: People > Employees > Register new employee

Complete their identity

Enter their first and last names. Employee code (optional): identifies each employee. If you use a code from another system, enter it here. Otherwise, leave the field blank for Bold to generate it.

Workstation assignments

Path: People > Employees > Registered employee The Production tab lets you configure the employee’s usual workstations and skills. Depending on the company configuration, work mode can use this data to display the operations that apply to them. Assign usual workstation: specify where they normally work. Assign skill: specify which tasks the employee knows how to perform. For example, for a line operator you can record:
  • Usual workstations: Assembly line B and Chassis screwdriving station.
  • Skills: MIG/MAG welding, Overhead crane operation and Reading technical drawings.
