Use Export data to download a complete collection as it exists at the time of the query. Filters and date ranges from other lists do not apply to the export.

Before you start

  • You need access to reports and Control panel > Export data.
  • Decide whether you will process the file automatically or review it manually.
  • Prepare a secure location to save it. The export can contain operational or personal information.

Choose the format and collection

Path: Control panel > Data > Export data Collections are grouped by area:

Download an export

1

Select the format

Choose CSV or Excel.
2

Select the object

Open Data to export and choose a collection within the appropriate area.
3

Download the file

Click Download CSV or Download Excel.
4

Identify the snapshot

The file name includes the collection and download date, such as items_2026-09-16.xlsx.
The file is a snapshot. Later changes in Bold do not update an export you have already downloaded.
The export downloads all available data in the collection, rather than only the rows you previously viewed in other lists. Review who can access the file and avoid sending it through unauthorized channels.

If you need another structure

Export related collections separately and combine them in your analysis tool using their identifiers or references. Changes you make in those files do not return to Bold. For bulk uploads, use Import data.
