Link your WhatsApp to chat with Boldy through the Bold Factory WhatsApp number. The link is personal and associates your Bold user with a single WhatsApp account. See Channels and related identities to understand how the link works.

Before you start

  • Check that My account shows the WhatsApp section. If it does not appear, WhatsApp is unavailable and you can contact Bold.
  • Start the process with your own Bold user and send the message from the WhatsApp account you want to link.
  • A WhatsApp account can be linked in only one company at a time. If you work in several companies, choose the one where you want to use it.
  • To send tasks to Boldy, you need permission to start tasks.

Start linking

In the WhatsApp section, check the Bold Factory number and click Link WhatsApp.

Open WhatsApp

Click Open WhatsApp. A conversation with the Bold Factory number opens with a prewritten linking message.

Send the message

Send the message without changing it. Boldy replies in WhatsApp to confirm that the account is linked.

Check the status in Bold

Return to My account. The section shows Linked as followed by your phone number or WhatsApp profile name.
The link displays its expiration date and time. If it expires before you send the message, return to My account and click Link WhatsApp again to generate another one.

Chat with Boldy

After linking the account, click Open conversation or write directly to the Bold Factory number in WhatsApp. Send a message to start a private task with Boldy. The conversation remains in WhatsApp. You can view the task, its activity and its result in Smart Factory > Tasks, but you must reply from WhatsApp. By default, messages you send without quoting a reply within two hours of the latest accepted message continue the most recent task. After the configured inactivity period, an unquoted message starts a new task. To continue a specific task, reply by quoting one of Boldy’s messages from that task. For now, Boldy reads only text messages in WhatsApp. If you send images, documents or voice notes, Boldy tells you that it can only read text. If Boldy finishes a reply more than 24 hours after your last message, the reply cannot be sent as ordinary chat text. When the number has an approved notification template configured, Boldy sends a notice with a link to the task in Bold. Without that template, no notice is sent. You can check the result in Smart Factory > Tasks in either case. In Control panel > My account, click Unlink and confirm the action. You will no longer be able to chat with Boldy from that WhatsApp account in this company. After unlinking it, you can link the same WhatsApp account again in this company or in another one.

Use WhatsApp in another company

A WhatsApp account can be linked in only one company at a time. To use it in another company:

Unlink it in the current company

Open the company where it is linked, go to Control panel > My account and click Unlink in the WhatsApp section.

Link it in the new company

Switch to the other company, open My account and follow the steps in Link the account.
